The 10u Lightning took the field for the first time in 2018 this weekend in the Domingo Ayala Semi Pro Tournament. They came in second place in the Gold Division, finishing with a 2-2 record. The boys played hard, fighting against windy cold weather, rust from a month off, and four other competitive baseball teams.

There were many individual moments where the boys showed their true potential. Xzavian Johnson put on a hitting clinic, leading the offense with eight hits, four of them being doubles. Alfonso Cisneros and Kyle Johnson had stellar pitching performances on the mound on championship day. Jacob Mangold made multiple diving plays in the outfield, and Luke Leonard made some tough plays on the move at shortstop. As impressive as some of these moments were, the boys know that becoming a championship caliber team requires 18 outs of intense teamwork and energy. This weekend, the Lightning 10u learned what they need to improve on this upcoming year, and also saw the caliber team they can become.
