The Lightning 9u and 10u teams took their games to Omaha, Nebraska to compete in the Triple Crown Slumpbuster Classic, with both teams walking away having had some great success in their first national tournaments.

The 9u team finished the tournament walking away with three wins, as well as a third place finish in the Division 3 bracket, after dropping an unbelievably hard fought game in the semifinals. The 10u team walked away with hardware from their first out-of-state tournament, competing in a championship game and walking away with the division three second place trophy. 

Seeing these players compete against some major teams from major markets was great to see, as both these teams are a couple of the newest LVBA teams. The experience that they have gained to help them to this point is incredible, and the success and improvement they showed in this tournament is extremely encouraging to the staff. There are many many more successful tournaments coming for both of these teams, and we are very much looking for the next season to start to get right back out on that field and prep for the next one. Keep working hard, and the real fun is just about to start!
