In their final tournament before their Cooperstown trip, the 12u LVBA Lightning Team won the Color Country Classic Tournament in Cedar City Utah Saturday night.

The team  went 3-1 and were the #1 seed going into the Championship game playing a good Utah Summit team. The Summit team beat the Lightning last weekend in Park City so redemption was on the teams mind.

The Championship game started out rough after 3 innings the Lightning were down 11-2. However, they didn't give up fighting back and winning in a nail biter 14-12 in 7 innings. The game lasted 3 hours and these young men played with a lot of heart.  Every player on the team contributed to this tournament win.  The coaches and parents are very proud of these young men.

The 12u team plays four more games two games Monday at 5pm and 7:15pm and two games Tuesday 5pm and 7:15pm at the Boys and Girls club, before they board a plane Thursday to head to Cooperstown New York.
