Summer Offensive-Defensive Clinic
June 3rd - 5th, 2010
|
|
|
This summer the LVBA will offer
a 3 day Offensive & Defensive clinic for students - (See Clinic Details for session dates.) This clinic will challenge students and give them the
opportunity to learn, improve and have fun
with their offensive and defensive skills before the Summer Instructional League
(S.I.L.) starts in July (See
Summer League for details.) Students will be taught through
drills, station work, lecture and handouts. Parents can choose to sign up
their son/daughter up for one skill or both skills. Each skill session will
last 2 hours a day for 3 days.

"A common remark coaches and parents share
with players all the time is that 'You should have fun when you play baseball' and
it's true. However, it is not fun when a player consistently strikes out, makes
an error or can't throw strikes. If these same players do not receive proper
training, we are setting these players up to fail, and having fun is out of the
question."

Parent's Comments
|

My son's reactions to camp:
After the morning session he wanted to go home. After the afternoon session
he couldn't wait for the next day. After the third day he came home asking
to play catch and when the next camp would be. By the end of camp I already
saw improvement. He is looking forward to this season more than ever.

I thought the program was very
well organized. I liked how the kids were broken up into age groups &
how they got to work with various coaches.

Michael is really enjoying the Offensive/Defensive clinic. And
he can't wait until the Summer Instructional League starts. He always liked playing,
but the great instruction and words of encouragement from you and your staff have
really helped transform him into a very confident player.
